Who is Prophet Muhammad ﷺ?

Prophet Muhammad ﷺ was born in Mecca over fourteen hundred years ago. Even before he received revelation, his own people called him Al-Amin, the Trustworthy, because of his honesty and gentle character. At the age of forty, God chose him to receive the final revelation and to deliver His last message to all of humanity.

Muslims believe Prophet Muhammad ﷺ is the last in a long line of prophets that includes Adam, Noah, Abraham, Moses, and Jesus, peace be upon them all. He did not come to start a rivalry between faiths, but to complete and confirm the one message they all carried: worship the One God and live with justice and compassion.

His life is a living example of how to treat others. He was tender with children, patient with the difficult, generous to the poor, and forgiving even to those who had wronged him. He smiled often, kept his promises, and never lifted his hand against the weak. The Quran calls him a mercy to all the worlds.

Loving Prophet Muhammad ﷺ does not mean worshipping him, for worship belongs to God alone. It means cherishing his guidance and trying, in small everyday ways, to mirror his kindness. When Muslims mention his name, they add the words "peace be upon him", a gentle blessing of respect and love. You will see this written as ﷺ.
